About Dr. Sungjun (Andy) Moon
Dr. Sungjun (Andy) Moon is a general dentist committed to providing high-quality care to his patients. Born in South Korea and raised in Calgary, he completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree at the University of Calgary before moving to Edmonton to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta. During his studies, he was actively involved in student-led outreach initiatives to improve access to oral healthcare throughout Alberta. In his final year, he was awarded multiple academic achievement scholarships.
By providing his patients with oral health education and getting them actively involved in the process, he believes he can help them achieve the best possible treatment outcomes.
As a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta and Alberta Dental Association, Dr. Moon looks forward to meeting and serving the patients of Fort McMurray, whether it be for a check-up exam, fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, or veneers. For pediatric patients, treatment under nitrous oxide sedation can be provided. And for those with anxiety in a dental setting, oral sedation may also be an option.
In his spare time, you can find him rock climbing (ask him about his climbing trips to Squamish, the Bugaboos, Utah, Mexico, Thailand, and more!), hiking, backpacking, or fine-tuning his morning cup of coffee.
